About the Founder Joanne Bialoboki Ruse
In my new role as a mother, I had little time to spare. When I could attend a yoga class, I eagerly participated! However, I frequently forgot my mat, towel, water bottle, phone, wallet, and keys. I even wore slippers to class on one occasion!
My baby was getting closer and closer as I rushed out the door, and I realized I had been forgetting my items for class. To ease my frantic pace, I bought a yoga mat bag I could easily carry over my arm. Unfortunately, I couldn't roll the mat tight enough to get it back into the bag.
In order to carry my mat, I purchased a strap. However, I never found it when I needed it. It seemed to hang out with my keys. As there was no yoga or workout mat that encompassed everything, I decided to make my own. I wanted a yoga/workout mat that I could grab and go.
In February 2017, YOGI™ FITNESS MAT was created out of a need for speed when my daughter was an infant.
I auditioned for Shark Tank in 2016 and made it to Round 2 in 2021!
